Tamaroa-St. Bruno cruises to win in round one of Regional tournament

(Tamaroa, Ill.) - Tamaroa-St. Bruno had no problems in their opening round girls basketball Regional matchup with St. John (Chester), coasting to a 50-10 victory on their home court Tuesday night.
The Lady Indians scored 21 points in the first quarter, and held St. John to just 5 points through three periods of action. With the victory, T-SB advances into Friday's semifinal round against St. Johns (Red Bud). The winner of that game will play for the Regional championship on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Tamaroa Community Center against either Pinckneyville #204 or Marissa.
Lily Tanner scored 11 of her game-high 14 points in the opening quarter of action. Grace Alongi and Jillian Shaneyfelt each had 10 points in the game, Chloe Eisenhauer had 6, Emily Ruppert 4, , Olivia Dill 3 and Olivia Philips 2.
