Lady Warriors dominate in win over Junior Lady Panthers

  (Du Quoin, Ill.) - The Lady Warriors jumped all over the Junior Lady Panthers on Thursday night in Du Quoin, sending Pinckneyville home with a 40-18 loss with two DMS players finishing in double figures - Loveleen Dunklin (11 points) and Lauren Heape (10).
  Also scoring for Du Quoin were Maddie Stevenson (6 points), Ayanna Dunklin (4), Abbi Mocaby (3), Emma Fischer (2), Sophie Hill (2) and Malayna Russell (2). Moe Morgenthaler (8 points), Carsyn Cowley (4), Lexi Martin (4) and Adi Foutch (2) scored for Pinckneyville.
  Both teams close our their regular season on Monday. DMS is at home against Sparta, PJHS is at Trico. The Lady Warriors begin their Regional tournament on Wednesday, January 10 at Hamilton County with a semifinal matchup against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. The Junior Lady Panthers' Regional will be held at Sparta with Pinckneyville taking on Chester at 6:45 p.m. the same night.
