(Du Quoin, Ill.) - It didn't matter who Du Quoin threw at Pinckneyville in Friday's conference finale for the Lady Indians and Lady Panthers. PCHS was all over both DHS pitchers and cruised to a 13-0 five-inning victory at Du Quoin, completing a 10-0 run through the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference's Mississippi Division.
The beating began in the top of the first inning when Pinckneyville got a run off of Du Quoin starter Chloe Hill following a single by Taylor Witges, walks to Mariah Clark and Josie Gleason, and a passed ball that brought home Haleigh Kling, Clark's courtesy runner.
That run was all Clark was going to need on this day, as the right-hander didn't allow a single hit or walk to the Lady Indians. If not for an error in the second inning, Clark would have had a perfect game to go along with her 13 strikeouts.

The Lady Panthers chased Hill from the circle after a four-run second inning where Clark and Gleason each had two-run singles with two outs to make it 5-0. Maci Mckinnies came in to finish the game for DHS, but Pinckneyville showed no mercy, tacking on four in the third and five more in the fourth.
  Witges (2-3, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB), Clark (3-3, 2 R, 5 RBI, BB), Gleason (1-2, R, 2 RBI, BB), Kylee Kling (1-3, 2 R, RBI), Lauren Jackson (1-2, R, BB) and Lydia Pestka (2-2, 2 R, RBI, BB) had hits for PCHS.
