PCHS Cheerleaders advance to State Finals

(Waterloo, Ill.) - The Pinckneyville Panther cheerleaders are heading to the IHSA State Finals after placing fourth in Saturday's Sectional at Waterloo High School with a score of 78.44. It's the first trip to State for the PCHS cheerleaders since 2015.
The roster of cheerleaders for Pinckneyville Community High School includes Kelsey Bailey, Lauren Jackson, Gayle Winter, Dakota Krone, Lilli Runyon, Miranda Skorch, Connie Moll, Lexi Loos, Katelyn Kling, Hannah Porter, Dakotah Hubler, Emily Shanklin, Jade Riley, Tristyn Morgenstern, Lauren Downard, and Chloe Yates. The Panthers are coached by Natasha Plumlee, assisted by Lauren Kania,
The IHSA State Final Competition for Competitive Cheerleading will be held at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3. Tickts are $10 per session and are available online at or through Ticketmaster.
Other advancing teams from the Waterloo Sectional included Sectional champion Breese Central (83.63), second-place Paris (80.44), third-place Anna-Jonesboro (79.60), and fifth-place Carterville (76.09), giving the Mississippi Division of the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference three spots at the State Finals.
