(Vergennes, Ill.) - Elverado’s win streak is now at ten games following Monday night’s 25-18, 25-19 win over Goreville at home. Emma Funk and Allie Whittington each recorded 5 kills, and EHS had a total of 17 kills as a team.

“We played really well tonight,” said Lady Falcons head coach Donette Wheatley. “Teigan did a great job setting for us and we had some monster hits from Allie, Emma, Jessica and Kaity. It’s nice when you can spread the sets around and any one of our hitters are reliable to get a kill. I’m proud of the way the girls have welcomed Kaity back into the lineup. They are doing a great job.”

Lewis was one kill behind Funk and Whittington with 4. Whittington led digs with 4, followed by Lewis and Jessica Elson with 3 apiece. Teigan Rury had 5 assists, Lewis added 3 aces on her serve.

Elverado also won the junior varsity match in straight sets, 26-24, 25-9. Abby Jeschke had 5 kills, Hayli Havens and Chloe Barnes each had 4 digs.

The varsity team improved to 14-7 (5-0) while the J-V record sits at 12-3 (5-0).
