(Ullin, Ill.) - In a rare statistical feat, the Lady Falcons won by the score of 18-0 for the second game in a row, clobbering Century on Tuesday, March 26 behind four home runs on offense and a one-hitter in the pitching circle by senior Allie Whittington.

“We simply crushed the ball today,” said Elverado head coach Donette Wheatley. “Chloe Barnes had a great day at the plate hitting two dingers. We averaged a home run every inning! We have to hit like this tomorrow against a tough West Frankfort team and Allie's got to continue to throw well.”

Every starter had a hit for EHS, and the first seven batter in the lineup all had at least two. Whittington (2-4, 2 R, RBI, 3B), Barnes (3-3, 2 R, 4 RBI, 2 HR), Emma Funk (2-3, 3 R, 2 RBI, HR), Morgan Bernardini (2-4, 2 R), Emma Yates (3-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 2B, 3B), Kaity Lewis (2-3, 2 R, 3 RBI, HR, HBP), Sydney Schenk (2-3, R), Morgan Cashion (1-2, 2 R, BB) and Zoe Maple (1-2, 2 R, 2B, BB) combined for Elverado’s 18 hits against Century. Whittington struck out six and walked one.
