Lady Falcons' season ends against Steeleville in Regional

  (Elkville, Ill.) - The Lady Falcons’ varsity basketball season wrapped up on February 7 at home with a 56-43 loss to Steeleville in the IHSA Regional semifinals.

  Elverado trailed by only two after the opening period, but managed just three points of offense - a three-pointer from Emma Funk - during the second period and were behind 26-15 at the break.

  Carlie Kothe (18) and Kaedence Beckham (16) combined for 34 of the Lady Warriors 56 points.

  EHS senior Allie Whittington finished off the most statistically outstanding career of any Lady Falcon to ever take the floor at Piper-Valerius Gymnasium with a team-high 27 points, giving her 1802 points in her four years. She finishes as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the girls basketball program.

  Funk (5 points), Abby Jeschke (6), Chloe Barnes (3) and Brianna Tuthill (2) also scored for Elverado.
