Lady Falcons snap losing streak by beating Christopher

  (Cobden & Elkville, Ill.) - The Lady Falcons snapped a three-game losing streak last Thursday night with a home win over Christopher, defeating the Lady Bearcats 43-38 and getting double-double performances by Tori Ehlers and Allie Whittington.
  Whittington had 6 of her team-high 21 points in the fourth quarter, where Elverado outscored Christopher 11-7 to come away with a win. Whittington also had 10 rebounds in the ball game.
  Ehlers also had a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 15 rebounds as well as blocking 3 shots. Hannah Alstat had a team-best 6 assists. Alstat (1 point), Savannah Valerius (6 points), Brianna Tuthill (4) and Emma Funk (1) also scored in the win over the Lady Bearcats.
  The Lady Falcons were coming off a tough loss at Cobden on Monday, January 8, when they fell 29-25. A three-point output in the third quarter got EHS down 21-17 heading into the fourth, where the Appleknockers went 4-for-5 at the free throw line to help come away with a victory.
  Ehlers (9 points), Whittington (5), Alstat (4), Tuthill (4) and Valerius (1) scored for Elverado.
