(Elkville, Ill.) - The first week of December saw the Falcons split their first two home games of the regular season, falling to Marissa-Coulterville on December 3 49-25, then defeating Webber Township 40-36 two nights later to improve to 4-3 on the year overall.
Elverado was hanging right with the Meteors at halftime, trading by a single point at 20-19, but the Falcons had an absolutely abysmal second half, scoring just six points in the final sixteen minutes of action. Dawson White was the only EHS player in double figure scoring with 11 points. Tanner Shread, Brody Troutt and Michael Shearer each added 4 points, and Sam Alstat had 2.
An 11-2 second quarter against Webber was the difference maker, and Alstat poured in 23 points to lead the Falcons to their first home win. Chase Buser added 13 points, Shread and Hunter McRoy both finished with 2.
