Murphysboro slips past Lady Warriors

  (Du Quoin, Ill.) - Three sets separated by a total of just six points. Du Quoin Middle School hosted Murphysboro in junior high volleyball on Monday night and came up just short in the third and decisive set, losing the match 25-23, 23-25, 17-15. 
  The Lady Warriors fell behind 5-1 in the third set and rallied back for a tie at 8-8. The two teams then traded points until the match was 15-15 with a total of eight ties in the third set alone before Murphy finally prevailed.
  Ayanna Dunklin led DMS in kills with 10, Lauren Heape added 5, Loveleen Dunklin had 3. L. Dunkin had a team-high 11 digs, A. Dunklin had 7, and Heape and Sophie Miller each finished with 5. Miller led assists with 16, A. Dunklin had a team-best 7 aces for the Lady Warriors.
