DMS girls overcome slow start, trounce Trico

  (Campbell Hill, Ill.) - Du Quoin overcame an abysmal first quarter where they fell behind 8-2 and fought all the way back to beat Trico on the road Wednesday night, 33-14. The Lady Warriors came to life in the third quarter, where they scored 13 points to open up a commanding lead on the Lady Pioneers, who managed just 6 points after their big first quarter. Ayanna Dunklin (10 points), Lauren Heape (7), Loveleen Dunklin (6), Emma Fischer (5), Abbi Mocaby (3) and Stella Ingram (2) all scored for DMS at Trico. The Lady Warriors are in action again on Thursday when Pinckneyville (District #50) visits Du Quoin Middle School.
