(Lebanon, Ill.) - The Lady Indians were knocked out at the Lebanon Christmas Tournament last Thursday, falling 52-30 to Christ Our Rock Lutheran in the semifinal round of the fifth place bracket. Du Quoin led 14-8 in the early-going, then trailed 25-21 at halftime before being outscored 18-3 in the third quarter.
"We played a very good first quarter, handled their press and led 14-8," said DHS head coach Shawn File. "They took the press off and we struggled to score in the half-court against them."
Morgan Bullar led Du Quoin with 10 points, all of them coming in the first quarter. Bailey Harsy and Chloe Hill each scored 5 points, Grace Haney and Katie Smith each had 3, Meryn Gross 2, and Olivia Whitley and Alyiah Waters each finished with 1.
The Lady Indians are back on the court Thursday at home against Nashville.
